As a lot of you know, I’m not a fan of “Lost”, but nearly everyone else on the Candy is, so it was inevitable that I’d do a Lost inspired strip. When I got this idea I knew I had to do it. Looking at the previous one, I was happy to have the stip in color, but it was essentially a bunch of drawings sitting in empty space; there was no background. It really didn’t look like A Drawing, so much as many separate drawings. So this time I started by drawing some minimal background to tie everything together.
My favorite of the new characters here is 1KoolMom, which I like because it’s so literal. Sometimes that makes it funnier.
By the way, the pilot is just a random person, it wasn’t intended to be anyone. Although afterwards someone suggested the pilot should have been Patrick Cooper, and they were right, dammit! But I tucked that idea away for later use.
