I didn’t have any good ideas this week, so it was a good thing the Mid West meetup happened. I had help from Maria (Travelchick) in figuring out who was there and the details of it. I did more drawing for this one, drawing complete panels for the street and bar shots, and a simple  background for the main panel. Lunarbabee and Clifford are the 2 new whitnesses here, but my favorite is Christopher’s friend, who I naturally drew as Orko, He-Man’s sidekick.
This strip also contains my favorite line of the entire series, Ember’s comment “wait - Nikola Tesla was a guy?” which was largely ignored or overlooked, I guess. See, the rock group Tesla was in town, and they took their name from inventor Nikola Tesla, who has a weird name, so...
oh, nevermind. At least it makes me laugh.
One last note; when I originally posted the strip, in one panel I put Ft. Worth instead of Ft. Wayne. BB was the only one who called me on it, and I fixed it, I think a few days after I initially posted it.
